FERMACELL is a dry lining board that has a very simple homogenous composition: 80% recycled gypsum and 20% cellulose fibres derived from recycled papers, mixed with water. In other words, it's a 100% recycled material. There are no additives or preservatives used whatsoever. The entire process is also fully recycling, which means that all by-products are fed back into the production cycle.
Sustainability MattersFERMACELL'S manufacturing technique is unique. Both FERMACELL and the process have been awarded the coveted Rosenheim Institute of Construction Biology and Ecology Certificate and the Low Emissions Product Eco Certificate. FERMACELL has also been defined as a 'Heathy Living' Building Material for allergy-free environments. FERMACELL'S commitment to sustainability focuses on a 'whole lifecycle' approach to environmental management.
FERMACELL is right for any job. This high performance multi-purpose dry lining board delivers a range of key benefits, whether it's used in walls, ceilings or floors. But for construction professionals, Fermacell offers more than quality, flexibility and strength.

![]() | Fire Resistance Fermacell is a class '0' and class '1' Board and provides F60 applications from single layer constructions upto 10m high. European class A2 |
![]() | Moisture Resistance Fermacell waterproofing application system to give peace of mind. The ideal wall board for kitchens and bathrooms, it can withstand humidity levels of up to 80% Rh. Maybe installed before building envelope is complete. |
![]() | Impact Resistance Fermacell is strong enough to use in schools, sports halls and hospitals, reducing the need for ply-backing. Fermacell dry lining meets BS 5234:part 2 Severe Duty Rating. |
![]() | Acoustic Performance Fermacell meets and exceed Part E BB93 and HTM 2045 requirements. It can be used for walls, ceilings, or floors where sound proofing is required. A 100 mm wide stud wall with Fermacell board gives better acoustic reduction than a 275mm block wall. |
![]() | Load Carrying and Structural Properties Fermacell is high load bearing and can carry upto 30kg from a single screw and upto 50kg from a wall plug fitting which virtually eliminates the need for noggins. |
![]() | Eliminates Plastering Fermacell board is easy to use and is ready for decoration without the need for plaster. For a "glass" finish use FST (Fine Surface treatment) to apply a skim coat finish using DIY skills and is dry within 45 minutes. It's great for touching up to give a smooth finish. |
