Simpleheat Electric Underfloor Heating

Underfloor Heating brings a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle to any room. An electric system delivers this luxury with minimal disruption and cost, and when combined with a renewable energy source such as Solar PV or Ground Source Heat Pumps, it is a sustainable option.

You will probably be aware that there are many different systems on the market, all making different claims. With modern manufacturing methods, most products on the market are very reliable, however there is a vast difference in performance so it is wise to do your research and choose the product that is right for your project. The Simpleheat cable is manufactured to the highest European standards. The cable construction has been designed to provide outstanding heating performance and efficiency coupled with unrivaled durability. We are so confident in the reliability of the Simpleheat cable that we offer a lifetime guarantee on all Cable and Cable Mat systems*

Simpleheat Cable Kits

By far our most popular system for use in bathrooms, mainly for it's flexibility in covering any shape and size of room. Like the cable mat, it can be laid onto existing floors and covered by tile adhesive, but comes as one length of cable which is layed out and run into any shaped room or area. Cable kits can be used in any room, no matter how irregular the shape. These systems can be used for primary heat source or simply floor warming.

Cable Mat

Some cable mat systems on the market have a very low output, some as low as 60w per m2 and are designed for use in countries which have far better insulation standards than the UK.

We have been actively involved in the design process for the systems we sell and they are tailored specifically to the UK's requirements. Our systems have been designed for the high performance demands of the UK's environment and building standards.

Advantages

  • Quick installation
  • Fast warm up time
  • Minimal floor height adjustment

Simpleheat Cable Mat

The Simpleheat Cable Mat System is similar to the Simpleheat Cable, except that the cable comes already taped to a 50cm wide fibreglass mesh. The main advantage with this design being is that it makes it much faster to lay out in larger 'open plan' areas, when compared to the cable system. Simpleheat Mat 150 systems come in a standard 150w per m2 for all internal rooms, and the Simpleheat Mat 200 at 200w per m2 for conservatories and other areas of high heat loss.

Inscreed Cable

The system is a primary heat source and can be used under almost any floor covering. The output is varied by the cable spacing and usually ranges from 120-150w per m2 in a new build or extension, up to 200w per m2 in a conservatory, or where an 'off-peak' solution is required. This cable is also ideal for use directly below thick stone and flagstone type flooring.

In-screed cables are a low cost solution and are designed to be used where regular constant heat is required. Where irregular heating is needed (e.g. conservatory for occasional use) we recommend the under-tile system with insulation boards (or an under wood/laminate carbon film system)

Advantages
  • High quality cable design
  • Low cost
  • Ideal for permanent heating of screed floors
  • Also suitable for de-icing driveways, paths etc

Carbon Heating Film and Heat-Pak

Our carbon heating film is ideally suited for installation beneath Wood, Engineered Wood and Laminate Flooring. At less than half a millimeter thick, it has a negligible effect on floor height. The film is laid over our exceptional 6mm floor insulation (which replaces the standard flooring underlay) to give a minimal effect on your floor height - less than 6.5mm! This makes it ideal for use in both new buildings and renovations or refurbishments where floor height can be vitally important!

Heat Output - The film is designed as a heating system (not just floor warming) and gives an even heat coverage beneath the whole floor. It is available in two power outputs 130w per m2 for ordinary home heating and 160w per m2 for conservatories and garden rooms where higher heat losses are experienced.

Simple to install - The installation is so simple it can be done by anyone with even the most basic DIY skills, leaving your electrician to connect it up to the mains supply for you.

Heat-Pak® Dual Overboard System is an addition to the carbon heating system. Heat-Pak® provides a perfectly smooth, stable surface to which Carpet and Vinyl (including Amtico, Karndean, Eletile etc) can be fixed.

The system comprised of a cushioning, insulating underlay, a thin carbon heating film, moisture barrier and a revolutionary 2-layer 'floating' overlay board. The heating system is extremely thin and only increases the floor height by 14mm, making it convenient for most renovations. Installation is the same as our carbon film system for wood/laminate floors, with the addition of the overlay board.

Tile Backer Board

Insulated tile-backer boards are particularly suited to under-tile heating applications. Installation below the heating cables or mats on an existing un-insulated concrete or timber sub-floor will greatly reduce warmup periods and subsequent running costs.

Simpleheat standard board size 1200x600mm available in 6, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60mm thickness. All our tile-backer boards are supplied boxed, for ease of handling and storage.

Therma-Coat

Therma-Coat is a revolutionary insulating acrylic primer. Designed to reduce the carbon foot print of buildings, Therma- Coat can reduce energy loss by up to 20%. Therma-coat can be used on walls ceilings and especially floors below underfloor heating.

Can be used in conjunction with the tile-backer boards or directly onto the sub floor, in situations where zero floor height is available for a conventional insulation material. Sold in 1 Litre Bottles (up to 16m2 Coverage)
